What is wrong with me?!?!

My brain sometimes does things that make me laugh hysterically...which can make me look a tad bit nutty when I'm in public.  I was listening to the radio and heard a song.  A song I've heard a hundred times...but this time my brain did a thing...

"I'm Already There" - Lonestar

He called her on the road

From a lonely cold hotel room - Those are the worst
Just to hear her say I love you one more time
But when he heard the sound
Of the kids laughing in the background
He had to wipe away a tear from his eye
A little voice came on the phone
Said "Daddy when you coming home"
He said the first thing that came to his mind - Awwwwww *tear* isn't that SWEET!

I'm already there - Oh...um okay......
Take a look around - Seriously, Where....where are you....?
I'm the sunshine in your hair - That's nice
I'm the shadow on the ground - if Doctor Who has taught me anything its don't trust shadows!!!
I'm the whisper in the wind - OMG The Trees are talking!!! Don't put on the headband!!! The forest is ALIVE!
I'm your imaginary friend - If the Exorcist has taught me anything its that Imaginary friends are usually DEMONS!!!!
And I know I'm in your prayers - a tad presumptuous.
Oh I'm already there - Creeeeepy!

She got back on the phone
Said I really miss you darling - Aw
Don't worry about the kids they'll be alright - Isn't that a movie?
Wish I was in your arms - Daaaaaw
Lying right there beside you - Brown chicken brown cow!!!!
But I know that I'll be in your dreams tonight - Oh ho ho ho naughty naughty!
And I'll gently kiss your lips - Wait...wait...are we phone sexing...?
Touch you with my fingertips - This is really sounding like phone sexing....
So turn out the light and close your eyes - OMG YOU ARE TOTALLY PHONE SEXING!!!!

I'm already there - well good for you, I need a little longer
Don't make a sound - Yea because the kids will think mommy is being murdered!
I'm the beat in your heart - is this a metaphor for a pulsating...never mind
I'm the moonlight shining down - Mood lighting!
I'm the whisper in the wind - yea, whispering "sweet nothings" through the phone...
And I'll be there until the end - Well you better stay till she's done!
Can you feel the love that we share - excuse me sir, this is getting inappropriate!
Oh I'm already there - do you have to keep reminding me...?

Theres another chorus but you get the gist.  Why am I like this?!?!? I've always thought this was the sweetest song.  Now whenever I hear it, I'll only be able to think naughty things.

SIDE NOTE - I still love this song and think its a beautiful song.  I just had a moment of immaturity, that was so funny to me, I thought I'd share.

30 years?!?! Still one of my favs!

AHHHH I forgot to post this....oooops

So apparently one of my fav/go to girly movies turned 30 (what?!?!).

Yes I am that girl...sometimes.  I was a toddler when this movie came out, so I never saw it on the big screen...just on VHS and in recent years regular cable TV. Of COURSE when they said limited re-release in theaters I jumped all over that!

I have always loved this movie and the soundtrack.  I had the tapes when I was a kid and the CD as a teen.  I have seen the movie so many times I can recite 98% of it verbatim.  Oh and I know ALL of the dances because what dancer that grew up in the 80's/90's doesn't know ALL THE FREAKING DANCES from this movie?!?!?

Moving on, seeing on the big screen with my buddies was so nostalgic!  God, I still LOVE this movie soooooo much.  Its cheesy AF but makes me so happy!!!

But after watching it in all its not made for TV glory I realized something.  I should have NEVER seen this movie as a kid.  Holy $hit its a bit risque.  I mean I probably didn't understand half of it but I saw it for the first time around when I was 8 or 9.  What was my momma thinking *hysterical cackling*?!?!

But we watched it because I was OBSESSED with the soundtrack just like everyone else.  Mainly because I was a tiny dancer and my dancing school did a whole show around this theme.  I was in a number to "Do you Love me" and did a duet to "Wipe Out" which were in the movie but I don't think they were on my tapes and my cousin was in one for "The time of my Life".  It was Dirty Dancing mania!!!

I mean how...

...can....

You not....

...absolutely....

...LOVE...
this f**king movie?!?!!?!?

Squeeeeeeee *sigh*

(you) Make Me...*bloop*.........Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I never needed you like I do right now
I never needed you like I do right now
I never hated you like I do right now
'Cause all you ever do is make me... *bloop*

Make me...wet...?
Make me...drip...?
Make me...water...?
Make me...poop...?
Make me...leaky...?
Make me...rain...?
Make me...wee...?
Make me...a broken pipe...?
Make me...a leaky faucet...?
Make me...pour one out for my homies...?

Make me what?!?!?

Apparently the correct answer is "Cry".  Right...but when I hear a *bloop* noise like dripping water my first thought isn't "Cry"...

Guess I have a Dirty Mind....

Dammit now I have to wee.

Ouch, right in the nostalgia

Okay, so do you ever hear a song and go "wow, I used to LOVE them.  I wonder why they don't release anymore albums".  And then you do a google search and Holy F**k I did not know that!

Okay so I was looking through some playlists and found "Guys do it all the Time".  I love love love that song!

Then I see, Mindy McCready November 30, 1975- February, 17 2013

She died?!?!  Why do I not remember this?!?!  Just a word of advice...don't wiki further info unless you REALLY want to know.

"McCready was found dead on her front porch from a self-inflicted gunshot wound."  Oh...oh dear...how awful!

Apparently she had a lot of issues.   Its just so sad that someone with such beauty and talent could be hiding (albeit not very well) so much pain and problems.  So I will choose not to read more...I saw something about a dog & kids and closed the page.

So if you need me I'll be streaming her greatest hits and trying not to think about how she died....

I used to dance to this song. My BFF and I did that weird pop/hump air to this song. How did I forget about this song?!?!

This is like a throw back to my early teens.  I mean the song came out in 1993.  I was what...12OMG I wasn't even a teen yet!  I was going to sock hops & CYA dances and dancing to this!  CYA Dances!!!!!  That is the CHRISTIAN Youth Association.  How WRONG is that?!?!  I even had a cassette tape of it!!!!  Mom what were you thinking?!?!

I don't even think I understood the whole reference.  I mean I was 12 so I knew SOMETHING but just, just listen to the lyrics!!! Oh and watch the video.  I am having flashbacks of shaking it like a dog and doing the Fire Hydrant.  Wow...just wow.  That's just wrong wrong wrong.  And we thought we were hot $hit dancing like that.  Good doG!

PLEASE!!!Gemme dat donkey butt and dem big ole legs! Update: on Facebook   #12Gauge  https://www.facebook.com/TwelveMuzik/

Laughing so hard you pittle a bit

Okay so apparently this has been around since 2009 but I've never seen it.  I laughed so hard my co-workers seem to think I was having some sort of attack.  Seriously, either I am already drunk just THINKING about our Christmas lunch or this is some funny @$$ $hit! What kind of weirdo sense of humor do I have that YouTube decided that THIS would be a perfect "suggested" video?!?!? Good doG, I'll never be about to look at 10 the same way again...

Are you f**king kidding me!?!?!?

I can't embed the video because the user disabled that feature BUT the link is above.  If you've seen it before...sorry but I hadn't so I am sharing.

It is synced perfectly.  I mean if I didn't know any better I would think he is in fact doing that...in his pants.

I can't even right now *snort*

I can't decide if he's laughing...crying...or uh a, should be a part of the video...HA!

Ever have a song slap you in the face?

Yea, I know I seem to have a strange connection to music at times but some songs just speak to me.  So a while back I somehow got the Katy Perry album Prism for free.  I was happy about it.  I like her sometimes and I knew a few of the songs so "Yay"

Anyways as I've said recently my little pink iPod nano is on the fritz so I have to keep it on shuffle.  Of course with 2000 songs who knows what you are going to get.  So imagine my surprise when I heard this song and almost cried....almost...not quite.  Moving on, I was driving to podunk Louisiana for an appointment at the butt crack of dawn listening to music.  I wasn't paying close attention but I heard this part "Looked in the mirror and decided to stay.  Wasn't gonna let love take me out. That way".

At this point I woke up enough to realize I needed to restart this song.  I listened to it 3 times.  You don't understand...this song happened to me.  It described MY LIFE, even down to the age.  Not my age now...but my age when my entire world went to $hit.  I was only 27...or already 27 (depending on how you want to look at it). I was engaged and had a house and everything was great until it wasn't.  And the only reason I was able to pick up the pieces of my broken life was because of my friends (they are like my sisters).  Without them, I don't know what would have happened to me.  The song is called "By the Grace of God" and while I have my moments of anti-religion, this song spoke/speaks to me.

Here are the lyrics...if I didn't know any better, I'd swear they were taken from my diary.

Katy Perry - By The Grace of God

Was 27 surviving my return to Saturn
A long vacation didn't sound so bad
Was full of secrets locked up tight like iron melting
Running on empty, so out of gas

Thought I wasn't enough and I wasn't so tough
Laying on the bathroom floor
We were living on a fault line
And I felt the fault was all mine
Couldn't take it any more

By the grace of God (there was no other way)
I picked myself back up (I knew I had to stay)
I put one foot in front of the other and I
Looked in the mirror and decided to stay
Wasn't gonna let love take me out
That way

I thank my sister for keeping my head above the water
When the truth was like swallowing sand
Now every morning
There is no more morning oh I
Can finally see myself again

I know I am enough
Possible to be loved
It was not about me
Now I have to rise above
Let the universe call the bluff
Yeah the truth will set you free

By the grace of God (there was no other way)
I picked myself back up (I knew I had to stay)
I put one foot in front of the other and I
Looked in the mirror and decided to stay
Wasn't gonna let love take me out

That way no
There ain't no
Not in the name of love
In the name of love (in the name of love)
That way
There ain't no
I'm not giving up

By the grace of God
I picked myself back up
I put one foot in front of the other and I
Looked in the mirror (looked in the mirror)
Looked in the mirror (looked in the mirror)

By the grace of God (there was no other way)
I picked myself back up (I knew I had to stay)
I put one foot in front of the other and I
Looked in the mirror and decided to stay
Wasn't gonna let love take me out
That way

Panty dropper alert

"Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran

I mean that is all I really need to say.  This song is an instant melt into a puddle of goo type song.  *Ugh*

Seriously, you could be the most unromantic man (or woman) ever and you play this song for them...done.  Deal is sealed.  Well maybe not for everyone but that's what I think.

Okay that's it just had to say that.

No, but really...watch the VIDEO!

Black wittle baby

I think I had the best misheard lyrics moment EVER!  This is a few weeks old but every time I hear the song now I laugh hysterically.  When the song first came out I would hear that and think that is the strangest thing for her to be saying and would change the station before I actually listened to the rest of the lyrics thinking it was just as silly as the singing in the shower song.  Sorry but that song although it has a good beat irritates me for some reason.

Anyways, I was in the car with the husband and this song came on and he said "Comparing yourself to a black widow may limit your choice of men" or something along those lines.  I said "huh".  And he said "this song...she is saying how she's like a Black Widow...."  I lost it laughing.  Like crying and snorting and he was like what in the world.  So I said "*hiccup* hahahahaha, okay okay so I swear I thought she was saying *snort* "like a Black Wittle Baby", *bahahhahaha* and for the life of me couldn't figure out why Iggy Azalea would be singing about that."  He just stared at me.    Since then I have listened to the rest of of the lyrics and it is clear why he stared at me like I was from Mars.  There is no reason to "love" anyone like a wittle baby regardless of the color of said baby.

I actually like the song a lot more now that I am no longer confused.

MINE

I just love this song! :D

Taylor Swift Mine lyrics

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh

You were in college, working part-time, waiting tables
Left a small town and never looked back
I was a flight risk, afraid of fallin'
Wondering why we bother with love, if it never lasts

I say, "Can you believe it?"
As we're lyin' on the couch
The moment, I can see it
Yes, yes, I can see it now

Do you remember, we were sittin' there, by the water?
You put your arm around me for the fist time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Flash forward, and we're takin' on the world together
And there's a drawer of my things at your place
You learn my secrets and figure out why I'm guarded
You say we'll never make my parents' mistakes

But we got bills to pay
We got nothin' figured out
When it was hard to take
Yes, yes

This is what I thought about:

Do you remember, we were sittin' there, by the water?
You put your arm around me for the fist time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Do you remember all the city lights on the water?
You saw me start to believe for the first time
You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Oh, oh, oh, oh

And I remember that fight, two-thirty AM
You said everything was slipping right out of our hands
I ran out, crying, and you followed me out into the street

Braced myself for the goodbye, cause that's all I've ever known
Then, you took me by surprise
You said, "I'll never leave you alone."

You said, "I remember how we felt, sitting by the water.
And every time I look at you, it's like the first time.
I fell in love with a careless man's careful daughter.
She is the best thing that's ever been mine."

You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter
You are the best thing that's ever been mine

Do you believe it?
We're gonna make it now
And I can see it

I can see it now
