My super power is injuring myself in my sleep

So it's been a couple weeks and still no police report from the wreck.  I don't know why but its freaking me the eff out!!!!  I know holidays, etc but still.

Work has been A LOT.  Like yes its "slower" since Thanksgiving but so much is going on.  Contracts are changing, job duties are changing, my counterpart got promoted which I am super happy for him but like I am getting a newbie on all my accounts and it terrifies me!!!!  I got lucky with him.  I was super scared when he took over because his predecessor was my friend for a LOOOONG time and knew the accounts backwards and forwards.

But again he deserves all the things, I'm just in panic mode because things are so weird with a few of the contracts.  Then my other counterpart got promoted which again AWESOME but it's just a lot of change and the peeps I depend on are getting new duties.  Its just so much change....good change but I have too much going on and am just trying to not drown.

My car is being a B....she is functional at the moment but randomly has a battery drain and I really don't want to deal with this right now!!!!!!!

One of our bathrooms is being a Tw@t and has been since before Thanksgiving, but I don't want to call a plumber because again.... TOO MUCH GOING ON!

On top of all this my mother makes me worry about her well being daily (a story for another day), the cost of everything has gone up exponentially & my paycheck doesn't go as far, and my cat randomly got the $hits & stopped eating (she's fine now)

So in true me fashion, I shoulder it all and don't complain.  DO NOT DO THIS! I woke up Saturday morning because I was in extraordinary pain. Like I ran a half and and got punched in the face at the end.  I went about my day cleaning and went to a friends for dinner.  As the day progressed my face hurt.  Like the whole right side.  I was convinced I had a toothache in the newly refilled tooth.  I got orajel and got home and did a cold compress.  That's when I realized the pain wasn't my tooth, I could chew just fine...it was my jaw.  Like the most INTENSE ache in the joint and from the back to the front under my teeth.

I thought my jaw was going to lock up it hurt so bad.  Heat felt better than cold so I did that, I took some Ibuprofen and went to bed.  I wake up whimpering at like 4AM. That's when I realized, I was clenching my teeth together.  That's right...for I don't know how long, I have been clenching/grinding my teeth in my sleep to the point where my new filling is so sensitive it almost hurts and my jaw feels like I was punched.

So I have effectively given myself TMJ due to pent up stress.  I ordered a f**king bite guard so I don't injure myself further.  My dentist said if it doesn't go away or gets worse to come in but he thinks the guard will help.  Oh and I should try to destress.  Cool cool... I'll get right on that.

I'm really tired of being "part of historical events"!!!!

Okay so I know I went MIA but its been a wild month.

We are alive (yay!!!).  We are YET AGAIN displaced (Boooooo!).  Do not start with the whole "you live in hurricane ally what did you expect" bull$hit.  Yes I know we live where hurricanes happen.  I hate it but there are natural disasters everywhere and we usually can at least, prepare.

But there was no time this time.  Ida went from a "oh look a 'storm'" to "Holy $hit RUN!"

No lie.  I've said it many times.  I get gut feelings.  I know most people do but I am not one to overreact.  Anyways, I was only ever fearful of one storm.  There was only ONE that scared the beejesus out of me and I cried to get my grandfather to leave his house, and that was Katrina.  All the others in between I was like "meh".

But this one was different.  The path, the concern of the meteorologists, the WARM gulf.  And it was quick.  There was no TIME.  We heard about her on a Monday as a "little" something headed to the gulf and by Friday you could see the fear everytime the weather came on.

I did what I always do.  I prepped my house, prepped my customers, and got ready to hunker down.  But as the days went on I started getting scared.  Like legit terrified.  By the time Friday came around my nerves were shot.  Work had me frazzled and well so did the path and strength.  Every advisory it ticked more towards us and got way stronger.  The hubs and I kept saying we were staying but as the day went on we both became even more concerned.  We said we will make the decision tomorrow to leave.

Saturday morning was grim. They weren't saying get out but they were.  It was strong.  It was coming for us.  We were on the "bad side".  Words like total devastation and loss of life were said but we were still a little further east of the biggest concern.  But every advisory was more and more concerning.  Around 9AM, I booked a last minute hotel in Florida just in case.

We waited until 10PM advisory Saturday night.  We had already prepped the house and packed up some bags.  At 10PM they said "your window to leave is almost closed.   This storm is showing no mercy."  They were now predicting a strong Cat 4, 140 MPH winds and she moved more East.  They were saying she could very well be stronger than that.  I got scared...like started shaking scared.  My gut said we have to leave.

So we packed the car, loaded the animals, secured the house as best we could, and went to leave.

*tick tick tick tick* no no no no *tick tick tick tick*.  I am at my wits end.  The car wont start.  I don't generally panic but I was on the verge.  We need to leave.  Every fiber of my being said we have to leave NOW!  But it wont turn over!!! I was about to lose it.

Thank God, my tiny old car was able to jump our bigger vehicle so we could GTFO.  We left her behind and started our journey.  We barely spoke because we were so scared.  What if we break down on I10 and become a statistic?!?!!?  We had to stop to pee and let the pups out but were scared to turn off the car.  He ran from 11:30PM until 7:30AM!!!

No it didn't take us that long to get there but we couldn't check in at first.    So we drove up and down beach hwy until the front office opened.  Check in wasn't until 4PM but when I walked in and the lady about crumbled.  She told me to come back at 7:30 and she'd have a room for me.  I must have looked a fright!  At that point I had been awake for over 24 hours and it's not like I slept well Friday night...

We tried to nap after checking in but our nerves were shot and we were passed the point of exhaustion.  We watched helplessly as Ida approached the coastline. We had been up for 36 hours before we finally crashed.

Sleep wasn't long because my phone started blowing up.  We had friends and family still in the area that didn't leave.  We eventually lost contact.  It was the most harrowing 24 hours until we found everyone safe and mostly unscathed.

She battered SE Louisiana for something like 15 hours.  My area  had 155 MPH sustained winds for I don't know how long.  I'm not on the coast...she STAYED strong WAAAAAAY far inland.  I watched my camera until the power went out.  Before it did I watched something slam into my car.  Ida had just made landfall....I wasn't sure what I was going home to.

That's it, where is the "unlucky" rabbits foot...it needs to be salted and burned!

For real though, can we get a "reset the day button".  A do-over, like in video games.  $hit is going down fast lets try again.

1.  My cable company *cough* Comcast *cough, cough* sucks real big donkey d**k.  I've tried and tried and tried and f**king tried to make it work with them and it just isn't (stupid contract keeping me in a bad relationship*grumble grumble*).  They will be fine for like 2 months and then I have to call and freak out because my service is $hit or because they billed me wrong or pick something, its probably happened!  Because of said $hitty service we bought our own cable modem for the interwebs and shockingly enough $hit suddenly works...you can't tell me they don't f**k with your stuff when they have access to it...I sound crazy but I don't think I am.  Anyways, I returned their CRAP modem and got a receipt.  This was in JULY!  It was removed for August, then in September it popped back up on my bill...hold up Mother F**ker what you trying to pull here?!?!?!?  I try to call and I can't get through.  The call immediately drops WTF.  I had FIVE OTHER PEOPLE try from their cell phones (all ATT) and they can't get through...I had someone from a Verizon phone call and it worked...hmmmmm. Also, landlines work....hmmmmm. Whatever, I call, I lose my $hit its credited back and I am told the phone issue is an ATT issue.  Okaaaaaaay.  They say its a Comcast issue (I'll get to that in the next).  I loud cap Comcast on Twitter and finally someone believes me because HIS phone which isn't in LA can't dial the 800# either...I think I heard angels sing.

Anyways....October bill and November bills are fine and suddenly I get a letter "Ooooops we've been billing you wrong, you will see a $10 charge for your Wireless Gateway on the next bill".  What the actual f**k?!?!?!  I DON'T HAVE THAT ANYMORE!  So I try to call and the stupid f**king 800# wont work.  I don't have a landline so I loud cap them AGAIN on Twitter.  He was helpful but didn't believe me.  I sent a picture of the receipt and the letter.  He said "July?!?!?!" Yes f**king July!  Stop trying to bill me for stuff I don't have!!!!  It gets "fixed" after they call me.  And I am told again the phone thing is an ATT issue, call them.  Mother F**ker!!!!
2.  After the 1st insanity with Comcast in September, ATT does some research.  They can't see anywhere its blocked.  They reset my something to my phone.  They checked that I don't have 800#'s blocked (clearly, I don't because I can f**king call them).  They are very nice and concerned and trying to be helpful.  I get to a top tech dude and he is baffled.  They put in a service ticket.  They call me four days later and say its a Comcast issue and they will work with them to fix it.  K, thanks, bye.  After the most recent fiasco I call them AGAIN. I get another tech dude.  He basically does the same $hit and blames Comcast.  I finally had had enough and said "I don't care whose problem it is tell me HOW to fix it!" I told him it started after Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas flooded.  I know for a fact that a MAJOR ATT hub went under and we ALL had service issues for the next week.  So maybe check that and quit putting me off.  I think I stunned him with my "infinite" f**king intelligence.  Look dude I'm not a moron, I did my own investigation before I called.  He opened another ticket so they can see exactly what is happening and let me know.  Great....
3.  My 4 y/o f**king car decided that it wants to leak oil.  Why?!!?!? So I call two different dealerships that service my type of vehicle and ask questions.  Mind you I've already looked up recalls and known issues and *gasp* this is a known f**king issue with the y/m/m of my car *face palm*.  I leave detailed messages with the service admin for a tech or manager to call me but I leave out my knowledge of the issue, just say whats happening.

  • Dealership 1 calls me back.  Oh that sounds like a cracked oil pan (mind you I haven't hit anything and it just started when the temp dropped below 35). More than likely that is it and it will cost roughly $625 because of labor and parts.  So I said, I've been told its a faulty drain plug.  So they say well probably not but if its that, it is $354 because of labor & parts.  I said the part is like $50...you can't tell me it will take you 2.5 hours to replace a plug....? They said yes...okay I'll call y'all when I am ready.
  • I get an email from Dealership 2 "We have received your inquiry on the (y/m/m of my current car).  That is an excellent choice!   A sales team member will make every effort to contact you within one hour or less to answer any questions you made in your initial contact and see how we can help you. We realize you have a choice when shopping for a vehicle and we thank you for giving us a chance to earn your business."
WHAT THE F**CK?!?! My response may have been a tad @$$hole-ish"
Yea, I know a (y/m/m of my current car) is great...I own one.  I bought it from y'all....I wanted a quote about a repair that I've been informed is a flaw in many (y/m/m of my current car)'s...it leaks oil." less than a minute later I get a call from a service tech.  I explain the issue.  He says (without me saying anything about the "known" issue)  "Oh, they probably left the old gasket on the drain plug.  Each new oil filter has a new gasket.  If they don't remove the old one the drain plug doesn't fit as snugly so it leaks." I ask about cost...he said "do you need an oil change? That's all it will cost."
So based off this info...one dealership wants to charge me $600+ dollars to fix something that isn't wrong when the other dealership will fix it for $69. 'Scuse me while I scream into a pillow.

4.  I went purchase something at a store on my way home.  There were 4 people in front of me at checkout.  I got to the counter.  Got my stuff rung up and the f**king system crashes.  Not just reboots...CRASHES. The poor clerk was so distraught.  He tried everything.  I couldn't leave...I needed to make that purchase.  45 min later I am finally on my way home.  Wine and soft PJ's are calling my name.
5.  I got home and one of the pups had had explosive poopies all over the place.  It smelled like something died in my house.  I legit started crying...and laughing...but mostly crying.  F**k a glass of wine & PJs, someone give me a bottle of Scotch and a punching bag!
Yay for it being my last day of work for the week.  I don't think I can handle much more stupidity...

I hate lemonade!

Really...I mean REALLY!?!?!

So I really think some higher power wants to see how much it will take to 'break' me :P. I was driving home today talking to my fiance. He was headed to the store to get some necessities. I was telling him about something and he says "what the hell?!?" I said what's wrong. He said his car just died. I'm sorry...what?! He said "I was sitting at the red light waiting for it to change and when I went to go nothing happened. . .then I realized the car was off. I tried to restart is and it wont go." OK he just replaced the battery and starter about 4 months ago. The noise I heard in the background was the engine was trying but just couldn't turn over to start. So there he is stalled on a fairly busy street at 5:00PM and I'm still 45 minutes away because I had to pick up my race packet for Sunday. He decided to call AAA and get it towed. I got to him about an hour later and still no tow truck. When he finally showed up, the tow driver said "that sounds like a fuel injection issue". Oh, that's just freaking fabulous!!!!!!!!!!

So we tow the car to my house because we have NO IDEA where to bring it. No places were open at this point to call and see if they even worked on his type of vehicle. More than likely they do but we didn't want to take a chance. So we get to my house and my beighbor sees us outside with his hood popped. He said "hey you having car problems". Hi neighbor...yea :(. He said let me take a look. He's a mechanic, yay! He said he thinks its the timing belt (CRAP!). He said he can see the cam shaft and its not spinning which usually means timing belt. The only good thing is that if it did break he wasn't doing 90 to nothing on I10 he was just idling at the light. That might have saved his engine. So now we will be bringing him to some mechanic soon to see if it is the belt and how much. I know for my little car its about $400 to change the belt...in his SUV I'm sure its much higher. . .*sigh* We can fix my car...affordably (under $200) and now his car may have SERIOUS engine issues. Why why why why!?!?!?!

Chrissy and I have made up

She's my friend again!!!

Ok so my friend tore her down to the engine block . . . he CANNOT figure out where that damn noise is coming from. He is baffled. But he said I should still be able to drive her, just slowly (no worries she is safe). So Sunday and Monday she was fine it just took a while to get up to 70mph. Today I was driving in to work and she started bucking down I-10. Like I'd get to 65 mph and she would jerk back and forth until I eased up on the accelerator and when she got back down to 60-ish she was fine (still saying WEEEEEEEEEEEE!). I texted my friend and he called me LAUGHING. I was like I don't really know how this is funny, sir. He said you say she's bucking right. I said yep. He said he called a specialist in my brand of car and he said "just wait till she starts bucking. I'm telling you its the cat converter". I'm sorry what. . . wasn't that ruled out by 3 OTHER mechanics. He said yes but this guy SWEARS that's what it is. He said when I get there he'll do a test and see.

He disconnected the cat converter. . .no more WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and she got up to 80mph in seconds. So it IS the cat. . . but NO ONE has them in stock here. It has to be ordered and takes a week to come in. The problem is now she sounds like a race car. . . no really it sounds like I put a flow-master on her. So my friend says do you want the WEEEEEEEEEEEEE and going about 60 or the vrooooom *rumble rumble rumble* and going 80 mph. Oh gee let me think! So now I have a race car...well at least until the part comes in.

Chrissy hates me!

And I don't know why, I try to take VERY good care of her. . .

My friend decided to take a look at her today. She is still saying "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" and now I can't get her over 65 mph. . .You know what's bad. . . when the most knowledgeable mechanic you know says "I don't what causes that. . ." He said he's not sure where that noise is coming from but he took off the exhaust plate and it seems to be coming from there. He's thinking Catalytic Converter (part of the exhaust system) is clogged. He wants to take it to his mechanic friend and see what he says. Ok that's fine, no problem.

Car comes back from mechanic friend. . . exact quote "tell her to buy a new car." My friend is PISSED. He cannot believe he said that. He asked what he thought the problem was and he said a bearing in the Engine block broke loose. My friend said oh so you saw it. . . well no but that's all we could come up with. Wow...just wow. Then he said well she has a "____" and those are known for engine failure. Ok I dunno WHO he spoke to about that but my car is NOT known for engine failure its actually the opposite. You usually can't get the engine to die. So my friend decided they are stupid and kept messing with it. He raised the idle so it wouldn't kill on me and said take it to Midas and have them check the Cat Converter. *sigh* ok.

Meanwhile I posted the 'symptoms' on Facebook and got a BUNCH of replies. My BFF's fiance said its the cat converter. Her car did that back in the day and he changed it and all was well. I told my mechanic friend and he said hmmmmm definitely need to get it looked at.

Took it to Midas to get it checked. . . on my way there the damn check engine light WENT OFF. Great. Luckily it still had a history of recent codes. They pull Cylinder 3 misfire AND Mass Airflow Sensor. Ok a LONG time ago we discussed just replacing the MAF in my car. The part is $175 + tax and its RIGHT on top. Easily changed with a Phillips screw driver. They quote me $565.00. I started LAUGHING. He said the cat converter is fine. I said are you sure!??! He said yes its the MAF and this is what it costs. I laughed again, thanked him for his time and walked out. My friend said are you kidding me!? That is a rip off!!!

So I am driving away and the Engine light comes back on. . . you B***H!

So with ALL of that I still have no idea what's actually wrong with her and I have a headache and this REALLY sucks! Guess I need to start looking for something new :(

Chrissy strikes again....

Soooooo in my last post she was acting a little crazy and my mechanic was saying gotta be bad fuel since it out of the blue started having acceleration issues. She worked fine all weekend and yesterday. Still not as zippy but not 'dying'. Well I am on my way to work this morning and she is NOT happy. When I press the accelerator I SWEAR I hear a very faint whistling noise. I can still get her to about 72-75 but I hear like a whistle. I wasn't sure if it was my vehicle so I did some tests. It was her. When I push the gas pedal there is a barely audible whizzing noise. . . WTF is that?! I text my friend. He is like its all good we will work it out. I get about 5 miles from my office check engine light comes on, oh great! He said he'll take a look at it before he heads out for the day. I get there and tell him she is saying "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" when I accelerate. He said she is NOT saying "weeeeeeeeeeee". I start her up and he pulls the throttle. She said "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" and he started laughing. He said it sounds like a belt pully. . . um alright. He'll check her out in the morning.

As long as she is still running OK he isn't too worried. He said take it to Autozone and have them do a diagnostic test so we know what the error is and get a fuel filter. Okee Dokee.

They run the test . . .Cylinder 3 misfire. . .I dont have a fuel filter I have a fuel screen. . . which is in the tank. Oh for crying out loud . . .really?! They said misfire = spark plugs. . . guess we are changing them out again.

My car's name is Chrissy....

....short for Christine!

My car has given me issues on and off since I hit that thing on I-10 back in 2007. I used to say tread but as much damage as it did I am not sure I didn't hit a hunk of metal or concrete. Now granted for having such high mileage AND being dinged up on the inside she runs pretty well and definitly lives up to her zoooom zoooom status. Well today she went all weirdo on me, living up to her name, Chrissy!

I left work early today to go to the Dr. I was running late (its a 5 min drive without traffic but traffic was BAD!) so of course I was zooming in and out of traffic to get there as quickly and safely as I could and all was fine. Dr appt went well so I headed home. I decided to get gas before getting on the interstate so I stopped at the place right outside the parking area. Well Friday traffic is ridiculous so it was stop and go for about 5 miles. Once I got out of the city it was clear sailing....except for me. I tried to pass a truck and I noticed I had limited pick up. Odd she was working fine just a little while ago. So I gun it and she is just NOT having it. I got her up to about 75 MPH and left her there for fear of a catastrophic melt down.

I texted my mechanic friend (I know I know BAD for texting while driving). I said "Thoughts...? My car is possessed...I set the cruise on 75...on flat I10...its going up and down between 70 and 78...then foot on the accelerator and couldn't get above 70...it actually decelerated. It seems to be ok now....but what causes that...?!" He said "hmmm that's odd, I just changed her plugs and oil and she was fine". I said "well I just got gas". He said "Oooo you may have gotten a small amount of bad gas or you may have a small amount of trash in your tank." So all the way home she kind of didn't want to go and I thought I heard a noise but I wasn't sure if it was just the wind or something. I went buy some StarTron (E-10/gas tank cleaner) and hoped that would help. I can't have a broken car I have two Bridal Showers this weekend and one is mine! We shall see. . . .

I hate mechanics!

Do I have DUMB BLONDE tattooed on my forehead?!?

The answer is NO! OK so Friday (yes the day AFTER Thanksgiving) I went to get a new tire. You see the other day I noticed it was low and filled it up. By Friday morning it was low again, oh joy :P. So I took the tire off and saw it was REALLY REALLY worn. I put it back on and took off the other back tire (I figured if one is worn so is the other and I'll need two). Much to my surprise it looked almost brand new! So I call around in the small burb I live in to see who had my tire. My usual mechanic couldn't get it in until Tuesday (can't do that). NO PLACE had my freaking tire in stock!!!! Well except this one national tire chain place. Fine, whatever, I'll go there.

I tell the guy I need 1 tire and an alignment. The guy tells me it'll be an hour. Ok yay, whatever I have a book. TWO hours later I get my car back. I was so glad to leave bc the football game was about to start and I wanted to see it, plus I was STARVING!!! Well I am driving down the highway and I notice something funny...my steering wheel is CROOKED!!!!! Like not just slightly pulling to the left like it was before, it was off by about 20 degrees. WTF, it was NOT doing that when I brought it in!!! I was pissed! Well I was almost to this chicken place, so I got lunch and headed back to the idiots to get it fixed.

They see me walk in and are like "Uh oh". I tell them whats up in the calmest tone I could sum up. The guy says "Did Shawn or Duckie work on her car" I was like I dont give a flying F--K who did it, fix it. Well they decide it was Duckie. I almost DIED when he walked out. He had on 4 inch thick glasses and was cross eyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok I am all about equal employment oppertunity but SERIOUSLY, he was doing an ALINGMENT, how can you align my wheels if you are cross eyed?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Well normally I am quite tight lipped but I couldn't bite my tongue. I was like, "No! No way, I want someone ELSE to fix it, sorry." I caused such a fuss they said "OKAY"

Another HOUR goes by (I missed most of the 1st half of the game :P) and Duckie comes and brings me my keys and apologizes. I was like, really, whatever. So I took off. It seemed to be fine, but I knew the true test would be the interstate.

Later that night I was booking it doing 60-65 MPH down the interstate, the car was jerking to the left (never did that before). It was only 7:30 and I knew they closed at 8:00. I called and went off. I was like "Um you might remember me...." And I went through ALL that happened earlier. They guy didn't know what to say but bring it back in the morning. I talked to my friends husband and he said this place is BAD NEWS. They Eff up cars all the time, I should never go there again (awesome, wish I woulda known that before).

FLASH FORWARD to Saturday at 7AM, they have no POWER! Can my luck get any better????????? Bring the car back finally :P, aw shucks duckie wasn't there. Well they fix it in like 20 min. YAY!!! After I know the car is ok. I caused a scene. I demanded a refund and promised to write an awful review. They said but I got a tire and an alignment. I said I will happily pay for the tire but there is NO WAY in hell I am paying for the alignment. They tried to argue, then I started talking about how I heard about their poor business practices when it comes to changing oil, fixing alignments, etc. Well since I was causing yet another scene in-front of other customers they gave me a refund to shut me up. HAHAHAHA :P And of course as I was leaving I said they lost a good customer and that I would make sure no one I knew came in there ever again, then I recommend the same to people staring at me as I left. Hey I can be a 'B' when I need to be!

So I am pretty sure they hate me, but I don't care. They effed up my lil car, you don't mess with me or my car.

My Car is Tempermental!!!

When it rains it freakin' pours...

My luck this week has been grrrreeeaaaattt! OK so I go get my Oil Changed last Friday at the 5 min oil near my office. And the guys are like 19 - 20 yr old and holy crap they were shamelessly flirting with me. I was like, "helloooooo keep ya eyes under the hood". Well anyways I am sitting there and I hear *bang, bang, bang* so I stuck my head out the window and was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! He said "Oh its stuck" I was like, "um so you took a hammer to it?" He laughed and took off whatever he was trying to get to. Well, I noticed my music had gone off but it came back on so I was like, stupid station.

Flash Forward to Saturday night - I am working for my promo model job and plugged my phone in while driving. When I got to the promo I noticed my phone hadn't charged and I was like...Crap it wasn't plugged in all the way. No biggie.

Flash to Monday - Driving to work phone wont charge...I'm thinking: "Uh oh my phone is dying...ahhhhhh". Get to work and it charges, whew. Now I am thinking "Oh crap my AC Adapter went out. Grrrr!"

Flash to Tuesday - I am told by our in house Mechanic I probably blew a fuse. He finds the blown fuse, changes it and it blows immediately, he changes that one, and *POP* that one goes too. He says I may have a short someplace (fabulous!). He says no biggie, we'll check it out tomorrow since its just the AC Adapter.

Flash to Wednesday - (OK mind you it has not rained since last week at this point). I am driving to work and go, "hey my windshield it dirty, lets clean it". *presses wiper button* nothing happens...*presses button again* nothing still. *starts panicking in car because its about to rain and am on I-10* "ahhhhhhhhhh".

Come to find out. JACK ASSES at 5 minute oil scrapped the metal screwdriver on a wire (exposing part of the wire) while banging around in my car, which sent a surge to my phone charger, creating a short in it....this caused the charger to continually FRY the fuses WHICH were connected to not just my AC Adapter but my wipers, power windows and dome lights.

Needless to say my car was not doing so hot at that point.

Thank goodness we have an in house mechanic or I would have completely freaked out. Oh wait it gets better, while he is figuring out what keeps killing my fuses, they discover I need new brake pads & have a nail in my tire. OMG REALLY!

Well anyways all is fixed now but I have had one heck of a week with my poor little car ;)!
