Only the good die young

Okay that's a tad dramatic but this is my first real experience with a childhood crush passing.  I am not terribly old but I am a bit younger than Luke Perry.  With that said, I had teensy...tiny...crush on him back in the day.  He was Dylan!  He was Pike! More recently, he was Fred Andrews!  My point is he meant something to me and was close enough in age. 

I watched 90210...well when I got a little older..maybe. When it first came out I was kinda young for the content BUT I still watched *shhh don't tell mom*.   I, like every other girl around, had a crush on Dylan and Brandon.

Side Note - I love seeing Jason Priestley on TV again.  Its not a bad show, check it out "Private Eyes".  

Anyways this is about Luke.   This is about a cute older actor that I totes had a crush on.  Yea, I had posters of him, yes I fangirled when I saw him on TV, YES I WAS AT BACCHUS SCREAMING LIKE AN IDIOT IN 2000. 

He wasn't that much older than me.  Well a bit but still young enough.  When I saw he had a stroke I couldn't believe it.  When I got the news alert today that he passed, I was in shock.  This cannot be.  He is 52 years old!  He is 5 years older than my current celeb fav. This.can.not.be!

I know I have dealt with my idols being lost in recent years but this isn't really an idol.  This was different.  He is close enough in age to me to freak me out.  This isn't a drug over dose or freak accident.  He had a stroke!  A stroke...at 52.  My heart is broken...especially for his family...his friends...and his fans. 

He seemed like a decent guy.  He was a good actor.  He was one of my 90's crushes.

He was Dylan...DYLAN!  Everyone's favorite bad boy.

Also, I truly did like him as Pike.  The movie was cheesy as hell but it fueled my nerdy little future even more.  I love horror, always have, but a teenage, valley girl, cheerleader VAMIPRE SLAYER...what is happening!?!??!  Teenage heart throb and vampires (NOT TWILIGHT!) Best thing EVER! 

I am so sad this has happened.  R.I.P. kind sir.  You are gone from this world way too soon. 

F**k, I'm short!

So like its a ongoing joke that NolaGurl is short.  But sometimes I forget HOW short I am.

So I was looking at pictures and I realized I am almost abnormally vertically challenged.

Take the pic of me and Jenna Coleman from a couple years ago.  Now mind you I had on converse but I was a good 3" shorter than her and she is TINY.  She HAD to have had on heels.  Because according to the Internet (its always accurate) she is only 5'2" and I am somewhere in the 5'1" -ish range depending on my posture.

Moving on.  This got my curiosity sparked.  How freakishly short would I look if I took photos with any other celeb favs (without height assistance)...?

Billie Piper 5'5" - I'd be staring at her chin

David Tennant 6'1" - I'd basically be eye level to nipples.....

Tom Hiddleston 6'2" - Somewhere in that same vicinity

Peter Capaldi 6' - Chest gazing yet again

Jensen 6'1" - I'm seeing a pattern here

Misha 6' - I'm getting used to staring a man pecks

Jar Pad 6'4" - That's like belly button danger zone (hahaha, jk...maybe)

Tom Ellis 6'3" - JFC what are they feeding these people?!?

Scar Jo 5'3" - Okay a bit closer to me

Caity Lotz 5'6" - Oh come on!

Morena Baccarin 5'7" - ...really?!?! I mean shes hot so yea okay

Jason Momoa 6'4" - Combine that with his width and that is a laughable pic

Stana Katic 5'9" - I...I did not realize this...

In conclusion...I am a for realz shorty...Jenna is probably the shortest famous person I will meet...also...any future celeb meetings, I should wear heels....

Also, the husband is just over 5'10" and my eyes are near his collar bone so I guess I like 'em tall-ish, ha!

Seriously though...if she's 5'2" and I'm an inch-ish shorter...that is totally just above nipple level.....

Okay so I am clearly a fan of that tall, skinny, Scottish actor guy.  Like I actually think he's a stupid talented actor but I also have a tiny crush.  But I think its because he's eerily similar to my wonderful husband, well he's older so I guess my husband is like him...whatever.  Who am I talking about...? *muahahahaha*

Obvi my hubs isn't a super famous actor but they have similar looks and mannerisms and on occasion when I see interviews its uber weird.  Especially when the hubs grew a beard last year....

Anyways, that probably has something to do with my enjoyment of said actor.

SIDE NOTE - I met my husband before I really knew much of this actor I am speaking of

Moving on... sir you are not the energizer bunny!  Every time I turn around I see "David Tennant to star in _____".  Not complaining, just impressed.

Let's play a game...who am I talking about?!?!  No really.  I am not a person who is obsessed with celebs.  I mean I appreciate talents and notice attractiveness but I usually don't follow people.  Well, I'll follow them on Twitter/Instagram/Snapchat but mainly because they are fun/funny (see John Barrowman)...not really to get a peak into their lives, well not always (see John Barrowman accidentally showing his hubby's manly parts in a live FB feed).  Although half the time I'm not sure if its actually them or some paid assistant who is posting.

Weeeeeell some you can tell its them *ahem* Mr. Padalecki *ahem*.  Anyways, there are many who don't use social media and honestly I don't blame them...SOME PEOPLE ARE LEGIT CRAZY!  So we don't really get a glimpse of them outside of the TV Shows/Movies they are in.  Then you see an interview and OMG STOP IT!  Either way these stupidly attractive/talented people make me realize I want (need) to do more in life.  I mean I am not talented in that respect BUT I want to travel...ALOT...soooooo reach for the stars and such...right? *big cheesy smile*.

Moving on...stop driving us all insane with your adorableness!!!  Gah!  You can't be talented...and hot...and NICE...and intelligent...that just isn't fair.
