I'm a Hufflepuff...grrrr

What the f**k is a Hufflepuff?!?!

Grrrrrrr
Is it a badger...?  OMG it is a Badger!  Maybe a Honey Badger!!! I've seen the thing a million times but never really thought about it.

I know what BEING a Hufflepuff means...I think.  Anyways.

I was looking for EO blends and I saw this...

Look cloooooooser

All I can hear is Hermonie....

Come on, you can't tell me that doesn't sound like something from Hogwarts...a Spell or Potion or SOMETHING.

TGIF....my brain hurts...I'm out.

"Hufflepuff is the most inclusive among the four houses; valuing hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty, and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its members."  Sounds about right.

I don't think that means what you think that means.........

I hate shopping.  With a passion.  I mean I will do a girls trip or whatever but If you give me the option of "go to the mall" or "sit on my couch and order from Amazon", I am picking option two. The problem is option two means making sure things are ordered far enough in advance to get to me BEFORE Christmas

Also, browsing the mall rarely gets me ideas.  But browsing online, I seem to suddenly remember my possibly future sis in law LOVES Harry Potter therefore I should buy her something from the Harry Potter Universe.  So I found this super cool replica of Newt's scarf from Fantastic Beasts.  OMG she saw it four times in the theater...I think she'll love this!  Score it says "guaranteed before Christmas".
So I go through the whole process and am about to hit "submit order" when I notice some very small print.  "Should ship between December 29th and February 20th" Wait...what?!?
But...but it said Guaranteed before Christmas... I mean are we talking about his possible real birthday because last I checked Christmas was not sometime between 12/29 & 2/20.....Did they mean 12:29AM and 2:20AM...like it'll ship tomorrow morning...?  I am so confused!!!!!!!!!

Well f**k you then....guess I'll find another PERFECT gift for her!

No no no no nooooooooooooooooo! This week has been AWFUL!

I didn't post anything Monday because its been an insane week work wise but after this morning I have to take a moment... two...TWO brilliant, talented artists died of cancer just days apart.  My little geeky heart can't handle it!!!

I woke up Monday morning (f**k you Monday) to a news alert saying David Bowie passed away.  Then I woke up this morning (f**k you Thursday!) to a news alert that Alan Rickman passed away.  What is happening!?!?!?

David Bowie was such an amazingly talented man.  He will always be the Goblin King who sings about Magic and seduces unsuspecting selfish older sisters, along with a few other choice roles he played...I'm gonna go watch Zoolander again just for that scene.  His music will always hold a special place in my heart.  It's a little weird, I guess, but its so good.  You can't tell me that when listening to Space Oddity or Heroes or Starman or Life on Mars or Let's Dance that you don't get all weirdly happy inside.  His music was/is so unique yet speaks to so many different types of people.  So Monday I listened to David Bowie Radio ALL DAY and watched the Labyrinth when I got home.  I danced around my living room singing "Dance Magic, Dance" while my dogs looked at me like I was a lunatic. He's f**king David Bowie, dammit!  He is a legend!  He was only 69!!! Sorry but these days that is NOT old.  As some people joked (in a nice way, not @$$holes), he didn't die, he just went home.

This song took on a bit of a different significance Monday:

This is Ground Control to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare

This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in the most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today

For here am I sitting in my tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do

Then this morning "famed actor Alan Rickman has died at 69".  What, noooooooo! How...what....69 also....ahhhhhhhhAlan Rickman was an insanely talented actor.  Of course he is the loved/hated Professor Severus Snape but he is also the Sheriff of Nottingham, Hans from die hard, Alexander in Galaxy Quest (which I just watched again like two days ago), Marvin (HGTTG), The Blue Caterpillar, and countless other roles and characters he brought to life.  I love his voice and his sense of humor.  He is/was so dry but it was so perfect.  If you haven't seen the Tonight Show interview where he inhales Helium, you need to look at it PRONTO!  I just can't believe he is gone too!  Both in the same week!

"If only life could be a little more tender and art a little bit more robust" - Alan Rickman

I'm fine, it's fine, I'm...gonna go sit in a dark room and binge watch Harry Potter for the umpteenth time.  RIP to two unbelievably talented entertainers who were taken a bit too soon.

Why do I get strange looks when in public?!?

My husband still claims me, so suck it all you haters!

So we went to the zoo.  No we didn't bring children, just us...two adults...that is not weird!  I love the zoo :)

Anyways, we were in the reptile exhibit and this happened:
So I said "Do y'all hear that?" *crickets* "No?  It's cool I speak Parseltongue. It's asking if we know 'Harry Potter'",  My husband laughed.  The girl across from me laughed...the others nearby rolled their eyes and gave me that "Oh my God what a freak" stare.  Geez, I was trying to be cute, get the stick out your butt!  The snakes are RARELY active so since this one was being all awake, I decided it was an appropriate time for a fandom reference.

Later on in another exhibit this happened:
I leaned over to the husband and said "I know they specialize in exotic creatures but this seems excessively dangerous!"  Again, he laughed.  So I *snorted* and *whispered* "Don't Blink".  But the people next to me gave us one of those "is she special or something" stares.  Obviously they don't know about the lonely assassins.  That and there was like crickets or something in here...possibly a snake but it was out of sight.

Also, after the zoo...well quite some time later I was home and singing in my yard while gardening when this lovely creature ventured out of its hiding spot, possibly proving that I do in fact speak Parseltongue
Me: "Ahhhh, what tha, *almost falls over in a fit of nervous giggles*"
Snake: *flicking tongue*
Me:  "soooo are you poisonous, you don't look poisonous...cuz we can't be friends if you are"
Snake: "Can you let me out of the box, please?"
Me: "Hmmm, maybe we'll just release you in the woods"
Snake: *hisss* "Fine, just don't chop off my head like you did my brother"
Me: "Oooo yea sorry 'bout that"

Seeeeeeeeeee I totally speak snake, that conversation totally did NOT happen in my head.
